Camp Ganeinu offers campers a wide range of activities.

In addition to the main bunk activities, campers entering 1st grade and up select a weekly Fun shop.
All activities are led by professional coaches or teachers who believe in our mission.

Athletics

At Ganeinu, campers participate in various sports activities, receive expert coaching and enjoy a wide array of recreational activities. Our sports coaches are professional physical education instructors who teach with patience, guidance and encouragement.

Individual and group training will allow each camper to end the summer a better athlete. Our focus on good sportsmanship and self confidence makes everyone a winner!

Fun Shops

The Older Camp - Middle and Pioneer divisions - offers exciting Fun Shops for campers to choose. Once a week campers will have the opportunity to make choices such as

Creative Arts & Nature

Ganeinu’s innovative arts and nature program allows campers to explore the world around them and to express their creativity in different art forms whether it be painting, dancing or arts and crafts. Many activities are taught by specialists in their fields who have experience working with children. Our staff members inspire, guide and encourage campers to recognize and develop their creative potential.

The crafts incorporate various themes in Jewish life as well as fun and useful projects. Campers are sure to proudly look back at the craft of their own hands well after the summer is over.

Many of our daily activities are devoted to Jewish Values such as friendship, respect, taking responsibility, being grateful, Tzedaka, caring for the environment and each other, caring for the elderly and many more.

Camp Ganeinu successfully teaches GOOD VALUES to our children, by providing them with a Jewish values-based activity curriculum and the high standard of “teaching by example” that you’ve come to expect from our exceptional staff. The depth of this experience is matched by the breadth of opportunities available to all our campers in the wide range of sports and activities, led by professional instructors.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Camp Ganeinu’s traditions mean a great deal to all of us. They provide a way for everyone in our community to feel they are a part of Camp Ganeinu We have found that our traditions become meaningful memories. Wacky Water Day, Family Fun Day, Israeli Fair, Friday Shabbat Party and Camp Shows are traditions that campers look forward to year after year.

Swimming

The Wetter the Better!
At the West Bloomfield High School pool, all water activities are supervised by certified Red Cross lifeguards. The children cool off by going swimming two or three times a week. Tiny Tots get wet every day with water activities and wading pools.

  • Campers are placed in small groups based on comfort and ability levels.

  • The aquatics directors and pool staff are certified American Red Cross lifeguards and Water safety instructors. Division heads and counselors closely monitor the swim progress of each camper in their care.

  • Camp Ganeinu has uncompromising Safety Standards.
